Lockdown time, Deepa started a food blog called Ask Deepa. She was posting blogs with steps to make recipes which she has experimented on over the years. Deepa has always been an avid baker. She started with a simple chocolate cake in 2013, to her own recipe this year for her Father’s Birthday on the 7th of July(2022). 

In 2021, she decided to combine her photography or videography skills and started to make recipe vlogs. Deepa scripts her recipes, makes the story board, shoots the video, whilst making the recipe and afterwards edits the video and records the voice over. These skills were acquired and honed over a decade ago during her Masters Degree. 

Month of June, 2921, Deepa published a first video on YouTube, with over hundred views on the first day alone. Today, in July 20 22 she has posted 72 videos on YouTube and Instagram. She has had a hands-on experience with social media marketing and digital marketing. In the month of June 20 22 she ran an ad campaign on YouTube that garnered over 6500 use views.

With the course of the year, she has been researching and developing content for two videos a week, one that is under a minute YouTube shorts in insta reels. A long format video that is anywhere between 2 to 12 minutes long, depending on the kind, type and style of dish.

The website is updated weekly with the latest recipes, tips and tricks. Apart from this she’s actively working recipes, scheduling them by making a social media calendar. This helps her in planning and executing campaigns.
